Youths Capacity Building and Business development

Project
Youths Capacity Building and Business development training will provide youths between 18 to 40 years (females, return migrants and in high migrating communities intensively coaching with a good theoretical and practical knowledge of entrepreneurship through the transfer of knowledge, critical thinking, self-discipline, problem solving, teamwork, writing of business proposal/financing, interpersonal relationship, marketing, the use of ICT in business, networking and mentorship to enhance their capacity to set up and sustain business enterprises. 

Goal
Youths empowerment and reduction in the widening gap of poverty and the rate of rising unemployment in Nigeria, which is in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). More importantly also, this initiative will help to further change the mind-sets of Nigerian youths against irregular migration and discourage them from embarking on the unplanned and dangerous journey to Europe.

Benefits

  1. Youths will be exposed to the benefits of agriculture and its value chains and taught how to engage in exports of agricultural products. 
  2. Youths will acquire knowledge on how to develop business idea, write proposal, apply for business funding opportunities, as well as maintain good relationships with customers. 
  3. Participants will acquire knowledge on the use of ICTs in business. They can identify ICTs tools that are freely available and understand how to use and apply them to their business
  4. Strengthening the agriculture value chain by teaching the participants how to engage in exports of agricultural products
